Peace! Who doesn’t want more of that? Too often, it seems so unattainable, so elusive. How do we change that?

So why do we struggle so much? Through my own personal development training and evaluating my experiences, I have learned that we struggle when our current life experience and our blueprint for how life SHOULD BE are out of alignment. And we struggle to the point of despair and hopelessness when our blueprint doesn’t line up with our current reality and we see no way out….we feel out control….we have NO PEACE.

Norman Vincent Peace once said, “The life of inner peace, being harmonious and without stress, is the easiest type of existence.”

I am so grateful for my journey in personal development because it has given me the tools to create an overall sense of peace in my life. I’ve been to that dark place. I know the pain of being curled up on my bed just wanting the pain of the struggle to stop…but I was more terrified of dying. I HAD to find a way. I had to find PEACE.

We ALL have 3 choices when our blueprint doesn’t match up to our reality. We can choose to be a victim, blaming others, our circumstances, ourselves. We can choose to change our life and our beliefs about what life should look like, our blueprint. But our 3rd choice is to make adjustments to both our life and our expectations of life and then we can create an EXTRAORDINARY LIFE.  My life is about learning to close the gap between where I am and where I want to be. Many times, that shift comes as a result of a change in perspective.

“The only thing you sometimes have control over is perspective. You don’t have control over your situation. But you have a choice about how you view it.” Chris Pine

How do you choose to view life? What thoughts do you allow to come into your mind first thing in the morning? Do you start with GRATITUDE? Do you start your day with the words, “I have to…” or “I get to…”? These are just a couple of questions that you can begin to ask yourself as you begin to seek more peace in an area of your life. It’s all a change of perspective.

“When you wake up every day, you have two choices. You can either be positive or negative; an optimist or a pessimist. I choose to be an optimist. It’s all a matter of perspective.” Harvey Mackay

Where do you find you are lacking peace in your life? Could a change in perspective be your solution? I’d love for you to share your thoughts with me.
